City.net was one of the first web sites that I visited when I was introduced to the internet back in 1994. As a student at Texas A&M University, I was fortunate enough to be given server space for a home page.

With a roommate who was quickly becoming fluent in HTML (Props to Robbystein), my only dilemma was what to put on my home page...

After seeing city.net (now Excite Travel) and having recently returned from France, I decided to post my travel photos. I received many email messages from school teachers thanking me for posting the photos and from disgruntled locals who objected to some of my personal comments.

I welcome comments and criticism but make no guarantees that I will change anything. Regardless, since that time, I have gone to quite a few other places and decided to devote a large section of my web site to these travels. I hope that you enjoy the tales that I tell in this section .
